When you choose FinalCut Pro as an output, your recordings will be exported to a XLM-file.

XML-files is an extensible markup language file, and it is used to structure data for storage and transport. In an XML file, there are both tags and text.

Import a XML-file to Final Cut Pro

When you import an XML file to Final Cut Pro, the program generates clips, events, projects, and a library, depending on the contents of the XML-file.

  1. In Final Cut Pro, choose File → Import → XML.
  2. Navigate to the downloaded NoEdit XML file you want to import, then click Import.
  3. Now you have to relink the File.
  4. Go to File → Relink files→ Original media 
  5. Select the first File → Chose: Locate selected → Chose the file with the same name from the NoEdit output folder.
  6. Do that with all the files
  7. You can now see where NoEdit has made the cuts

💡 Pro tip

You can also import XML files by double-clicking them in the Finder or dragging them to the Final Cut Pro app icon.
